Artwork guidelines.

Everything your file needs to land on press, print crisp, and arrive exactly as you designed it.

Accepted file formats

Supply your artwork as a PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 for best results. We also accept high-resolution TIFF, JPEG and PNG files for photographic products (canvas, posters, aluminium). For vector logos and type-heavy jobs, PDF is always preferred.

Resolution

Supply artwork at 300 DPI at final print size. For large-format products (over 2m wide, oversized canvas), 150 DPI is acceptable because viewing distance compensates for the lower pixel count. Anything under 150 DPI risks visible softness.

Bleed and margins

Add 3 mm of bleed on every edge where colour, imagery or background extends to the edge of the final product. Keep all critical text and logos at least 5 mm inside the trim line. PVC boards with eyelets need an extra 20 mm safe margin for mounting holes.

Colour mode

All artwork should be supplied in CMYK. Files submitted in RGB will be converted before printing, which can cause subtle colour shifts — particularly in bright blues and vivid greens. For brand-critical colours, include a Pantone reference and we'll match as closely as the chosen substrate allows.

Fonts

Either embed all fonts in your PDF, or outline all text before exporting. This guarantees that the type renders exactly as you designed it, regardless of whether we have the typeface installed at our end.

File sizing & delivery

There is a 500 MB per-file upload limit. If your file is larger, use WeTransfer or Dropbox and paste the link in the order notes. Compress oversized TIFFs using LZW compression before upload.

What happens if artwork is not print-ready

If our pre-flight check flags an issue — low resolution, missing bleed, wrong colour mode, unembedded fonts — we'll pause your order and email you within business hours. Nothing goes to press until the file is approved. There's no extra charge for this check.

For a small fee, our in-house team can also fix minor issues (bleed, colour conversion, resolution) directly — just mention it in the order notes or contact us before ordering.
